President and founder of NuCulinary and a Certified Culinary Professional, Naomi Kakiuchi specializes in inspiring community and culture through cooking. She is a registered dietitian, media spokesperson, teaching chef and wellness educator. Naomi is a favorite instructor for area cooking schools and conducts her own cooking school in Asian cuisine. Her classes are a balanced blend of food, fun, history and nutrition. NuCulinary provides interactive cooking classes for adults and children; corporate teambuilding; private parties and corporate wellness education.
In addition to her teaching schedule, Naomi coordinates the Chef Program for the Seattle Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance. This program provides live chef demonstrations of seasonal crop and farm products in seven urban farmers markets in coordination with restaurant chefs, caterers, and farmers to consumers about cooking and eating fresh and healthy foods. Naomi is also a contributing author of The American Dietetic Association Cooking Healthy Across America Cookbook and past chair of the Food and Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group.
Naomi has a long history of serving WBE. She is a past president and now in her second term as Chair of the Board of Directors.
