My Story...My Values:
Love - Service - Mission

To be alive is to be gifted. My life-work is to become a transparent human being so that the gift of my life can be a blessing to myself and others. I do this through the love and service I give to family and friends and through the mission of my work.

This is the framework for my business as a Realtor®. I am dedicated to becoming an informed, reliable service provider through education, ethical business practices, and by partnering with other business professionals and with my clients.

My 15+ year real estate background began as a loan processor for a commercial real estate lender, Peoples Mortgage Co. When Peoples Bank was sold in 1988, I moved on to work for a local life insurance company and eventually that company became a part of GE Financial. During that time I became knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. My customers were located across the country. As a processor, I reviewed and negotiated the details in loan documents. I looked at title reports, and property condition reports for consistency and accuracy. As a part of a lending organization, I came to appreciate the wide variety of challenges that make real estate an interesting career.

To this day, the common thread in my business is creating a trusting working relationship with service providers such as title companies, appraisers, and attorneys.

Now in business for myself as a Realtor, I want to work with clients who are willing to create a secure financial future for themselves. For this reason, I am learning to treasure the members of the Women's Business Exchange. The women I meet there are taking on the challenges of creating a business plan for themselves and their clients.

I hope to bring my life and work experience to real estate transactions that satisfy the needs and wants of my clients. This is the source of my pleasure, the reason I hope to work with YOU!

Sincerely, Janet McDermott
