I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you by working the registration desk at our WBE breakfasts. I am inspired by so many talented, powerful and beautiful women.

My name is Denise Downs and I've been helping individuals, families and small business owners with their financial and insurance needs since 1991. I am the owner of DDownsfinance and I provide a spectrum of financial services to help clients improve their wealth positions, protect their assets, and identify tax savings opportunities. Together we to take a snapshot of their current situation, identify their needs, and put a plan in action to reach their goals. Services I offer include financial planning, life insurance, health insurance, long term care, and disability coverage.

When I meet with clients, we cover five main points:

  1. Money and happiness: Money doesn't make you happy, but it gives you options. Putting values first before your goals, lets you live richly vs. expensively.
  2. Pay yourself first: You will always have bills-pay yourself first: This is particularly tough for the self-employed with varying paychecks, but it's even more important for us to set up a consistent contribution schedule.
  3. Retirement sources: Will you have a pension other than social security or is it all up to you?
  4. Are you banking on your house? Is your personal residence an inheritance or a Long Term Care policy?
  5. Who's counting on you? Do you have insurable need? Children, debt, liabilities, business partners …who might be burdened if you die or become disabled?
Contact me any time for additional information.
