Getting to the Meet of the Matter:
How to Stand Out in a Downturn Economy
With each passing day, the news headlines are a somber reminder of the fact that we are in the midst of a recession. No one is immune from the impacts. How does this economy impact the way we conduct business? Should we adjust gears and do things differently than before? The answer according to Lorraine Howell, owner of Media Skills Training, is both yes and no. For her, this year’s strategy can be summed up as “back to basics, with a twist.”
After a successful, 12-year career as a television news and talk show producer, Lorraine launched Media Skills Training with the belief that the best communicators are those who’ve mastered the ability to deliver a message that is honest, short, and relevant to the audience. Today’s weak economy may have changed your audience’s urgency and needs, but it shouldn’t change your strategy to meet your customers where they are. What are your customer’s problems this year? More importantly, how does what you have to offer help them solve them?
We invite you to join us on April 9th as Lorraine Howell arms us with new strategies and new words to make a lasting impression on those we meet!
