Each month at the WBE Breakfast we have an inspirational speaker. Thank you to all of our speakers! Our speaker for November 2009 was:
Purpose, Passion, Presence and the Power of Intention
How would you describe your “signature presence?” Does the question leave you at a loss for adjectives? Or, have you perhaps temporarily lost sight of what it is? Most importantly, are you using your signature presence to guide how you show up, set your intention and live your life with purpose? On November 12th, award-winning poet and author Dr. Gloria Burgess brings her wisdom and humor to WBE to talk about the concept of legacy living and the importance of bringing your unique qualities and vulnerabilities forward in all that you do – to create a compelling signature presence. Sharing her own story of how writer William Faulkner became her father’s benefactor, Gloria will explain how the concept of legacy living evolved out of her own life experience, and how we can all benefit from living with our legacy in mind while we are still alive. Living is one thing, but living a legacy life is quite another. According to Gloria, all of us leave a crumb trail behind us. The key is to learn from those who have paved the way for us, and bring all of our gifts to the table right now, when the world truly needs it most. Join us in November for a lively, joyful and authentic morning with Gloria Burgess and you’ll leave with reignited passion and more purpose in your step!
